A Journey Through Sardegna
This video is an editing project I created for a group of Italian friends who embarked on an adventurous motorcycle journey across Sardegna, Italy. Almost the entire footage was shot in first-person perspective, using a GoPro mounted on the client’s helmet — giving the viewer an immersive, rider’s-eye view of the experience. The video includes Italian subtitles.
With the raw footage in hand, I crafted a free-form storytelling structure, organizing the video into six thematic chapters that capture the essence of their experience:
Le Pietre – Highlighting the many challenges of the terrain and the variety of rocky paths they faced.
I Comuni e il Paesaggio – Showcasing the small communities they rode through and a peaceful moment to admire the Sardinian coastline.
La Pioggia – A moody chapter where they brave the rain through several parts of the journey.
L’Asfalto – A rare glimpse of smoother roads, where the group enjoys the few asphalted stretches of their rugged route.
Le Salite – Following the riders as they climb steep, rocky hills that test their skill and endurance.
Le Piscine – Featuring large pools of water of varying depth scattered along their path, adding an extra layer of adventure.
Il Golfo – The final chapter, where they reach the end of their journey and are rewarded with the stunning beauty of Sardegna's gulf.
